Ironbreaker Shoulders, rr87?
A short time after (the now infamous) patch 1.3.6 we got to see some new armour pieces. Not only did we get new RvR armour (i.e. Doomflayer and Warpforged) but there were also individual green, blue and purple items inbetween these sets that dropped in lots of places: RvR in the lakes, Thanquol’s Incursion and in City Instances.
One of my favourite IB items of this rr80+ armour are the Imposing Ailettes of Skill. These shoulders have a great appearance. My fellow guildie Dervisher has had them as appearance on his IB for some time and looks rather dapper I’m sure you’ll agree.
Anyway, I recently discovered that these shoulders are attainable long before rr87. Infact, even before level 40. They are available as advanced influence rewards in Empire Chapter 22. I’m sure this doesn’t come as news to some readers but to me it was a real surprise. The item is called Cruxbreaker’s Ironmantle. Go get them and give your IB some appearance love.
